Sustainability Workshop with Fashion Revolution: Mend in Public

 

🌸 Hello, sustainability lovers and fashion changemakers!

We are very happy to collaborate with Fashion Revolution Denmark for the second time:

This April, join us for Mend in Public, a heartwarming afternoon of creativity, connection, and conscious action—right in the middle of cherry blossom season! Hosted at Kulturhuset Indre By, this Fashion Revolution Week event invites you to bring your worn-out clothes and breathe new life into them through visible mending.

🧵 What’s Mend in Public all about?
It’s not just about fixing clothes—it’s about reclaiming repair as a joyful, rebellious act against fast fashion and waste. Fashion Revolution Week commemorates the 2013 Rana Plaza disaster and calls for a more ethical, sustainable fashion system. Together, we stitch change into every seam and share stories of care, creativity, and resistance.

💡 WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Learn simple visible mending techniques – no experience necessary!

  • Enjoy a relaxed, outdoor atmosphere surrounded by cherry blossoms

  • Connect with fellow creatives, climate activists, and curious minds

✍️ REGISTRATION (mandatory): Please register for the event at esn-cph.nemtilmeld.dk/ to help us prepare for a fantastic event.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
 
ESNcard: 🆔 It is mandatory to be a Copenhagen (or Denmark) ESNcard holder if you book the ticket "with ESNcard", you can get yours here.
 
Event Tickets: 🎫 This registration can't be used to access venues requiring tickets. Volunteers will be at the accorded meeting point to give you access when required by the event, last-minute updates will be shared by them in our WhatsApp group.
 
Cancellation: ❌ You are entitled to cancel your ticket up to 48 hours before the start of an event, for tickets worth up to 120kr, in order to receive a full refund. For tickets  worth 121kr and above, you are entitled to a full refund if you cancel up to 7 days prior to the start of the event.
Cancellation later than the previously mentioned deadlines, does not allow for refunds. Should you need to cancel, please let us know before the deadline.
 
Transferring your ticket: If you cannot cancel your ticket due to the passed deadline, it is possible to transfer your ticket to a willing participant. To do so, you must contact your organizer directly and let them know of the transfer. OBS! If you have purchased a ticket with ESNcard discount, you CANNOT transfer your ticket to someone who does not hold an ESNcard. The ESNcard is a membership and, therefore, the transfer can only apply to someone holding that same membership.
 
Late arrivals and no-show: ⏱ At any event, we have a 15-minute waiting policy. If you do not show up within 15 minutes of the start of the event, you are considered to have not shown up and will forfeit your spot. However, if you are aware that you will be late due to various circumstances before or at the latest within the 15 minutes after the beginning of the event, please let us know as soon as possible, to maintain your spot. Should you arrive unreasonably late, with no notice given we maintain the right to deny you entry.
 
Photos and videos: 📷 Photos and videos will be taken during the event and will be posted on ESN Copenhagen social media. By purchasing a ticket, you give consent to your picture being taken with the intent of the subsequent publication. Should you not agree to this condition, please let ESN know before the event. Consent can always be withdrawn, and any publication of you will be taken down. If you wish to do so, please email info@esn-cph.dk and communication@esn-cph.dk.
 
Zero tolerance policy towards discriminatory and violent behaviour:
ESN Copenhagen is committed to inclusivity and non-discrimination. We strive to create a safe space for all participants, regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality, or religion.
We want to ensure that everyone feels welcome and accepted during their stay in Copenhagen, so we can help make their experience memorable and safe. 
Any form of discrimination, aggression, exclusionary behavior or scam attempts—either online or at our events—will not be tolerated, resulting in denied entry, suspended, or permanently banned. If you experience or witness such behavior, please report it to the ESN Copenhagen team.
We will at all times reserve the right to correct you on unwanted behaviour and give you a warning during events or using our online platforms.
The failure to follow these rules will result in expulsion from our community.
